Helping others

God is our Father who cares for us and loves us. We want to share that love with as many people as we can – as individuals with whoever we meet, and together as a loving community of God’s people.

We share that love in many practical ways, by caring for each other and by supporting each other. Our desire is for Knightswood Baptist Church to be a community of people who know God’s love and who share God’s love with each other, and with anyone we can.

Sharing God’s love is not about what we do, it is about who we are. That’s why the desire to share God’s love involves who we are every day, in whatever situation we find ourselves.

During the year, we give financially to various groups who share God’s love with others.

We also help practically by giving food to Glasgow City Mission.

We are also involved with Street Pastors.

We also serve with Storehouse, a charity which distributes food and gives help to some of the most needy and vulnerable people in our area.

We also have links with Christians Against Poverty who help people in our area with financial advice and practical help.

As well as sharing God’s love with those in our neighbourhood and our city, we want to do what we can to share God’s love with the nations. Some of our members have served overseas, and we also support BMS World Mission.

We also open our building for other community groups to use:

  • AA meet on Monday evening, from 19.30;
  • Slimming World meets on Tuesday evening, from 19.30.

As well as sharing God’s love with those in our neighbourhood and our city, we want to do what we can to share God’s love with the nations. Some of our members have served overseas, and we also support BMS World Mission.
